Ducati revealed the new Panigale V4 R 2019 at the Milan motor show (EICMA) 2018. This model comes fully redesigned, with much more technology, including MotoGP, for instance, the front “wings”. In addition, the engine is new and more powerful.

The new “wings”, according to the Ducati, improve aerodynamic efficiency. They are made of carbon fiber and increase stability during the ride, reducing dependence on electronic controls.

The engine is new: it leaves the V4 of 1103 cm³ and enters the V4 of 998 cm³. This was done due to the new cubic limit set for the WorldsBK for 2019. But in spite of that, the Ducati was able to increase maximum revs and, along with other improvements, increase power to 224 hp @ 15,250 rpm . If you use the Akrapovič racing exhaust, the power jumps to 237 hp @ 15,500 rpm. With that, this is the most powerful production bike in Ducati history.

With the new engine and new internal components, the weight was reduced by 2 kg (compared to V4 S). In order of travel, the V4 R weighs only 193 kg.
