Honda reveals new 2019 CBR650R more powerful and Fireblade inspired design
Honda revealed at the Milan Motor Show (EICMA) 2018, the new 2019 CBR650R. It is the replacement of the CBR650F and comes more powerful and design of the CBR1000RR Fireblade.
The new 2019 Honda CBR650R takes the Fireblade as inspiration, adopting the same design lines. The headlights, for example, are very similar and are now LED.
The engine is the inline four-cylinder of 649 cc and now generates 95 hp of maximum power. The maximum rotations increased by 1,000 rpm to 12,000 rpm limit. The maximum torque is 65 nm and was developed to be delivered more smoothly and linearly.
The chassis and tank are new and with this it was possible to reduce 6 kg compared to the CBR650F. Other equipment and technologies that were not on the CBR650F are: Showa 41mm USD front suspension, radial four-piston calipers, floating discs and new wheels.
The riding position is sportier by throwing the rider’s weight forward and down. The headlamp as mentioned at the beginning is LED (in fact, all the lighting is LED) and the instrument panel is new and fully digital with gear indicator.
The CBR650R also received assist/slipper clutch and selectable torque control (traction control).
It arrives in the stores of Europe later this year as 2019 model.
