MotoGP: Andrea Dovizioso beats Marc Marquez with “x” right in the last corner and wins Austrian GP
After a fierce race from start to finish, with an “x” on the last corner, Andrea Dovizioso with his Ducati beats pole-positon Marc Márquez and wins the race of the Austrian GP of MotoGP.
After a very good start, Jorge Lorenzo (Dovizioso’s Ducati team mate) took the lead, with Marc Márquez from Honda on his tail and Andrea Dovizioso just behind.
During the course of the race, Lorenzo was losing performance and was overtaken by Márquez and Dovizioso, as well by Dani Pedrosa, finishing in 4th place.
But the race was between Márquez and Dovizioso, with overtaking and some errors between the two, creating a fierce race for the entire race.
After Márquez’s mistake in a braking, Dovizioso passed and took the lead, making no more mistakes, and closing the way for the Spaniard. Márquez did not miss a minute and on the last lap, at the last corner, he tried to pass Dovizioso, but he lost traction on the rear tire and allowed the “x” of the Italian.
