Honda shows new 2019 CBR500R inspired by the CBR 1000RR Fireblade
Honda has unveiled the new 2019 CBR500R at the Milan Motor Show (EICMA) 2018. Now the brand’s sporty mid-size has a new design inspired by the larger sister CBR 1000RR Fireblade, with more sharp, defined and aggressive angles. The front optical assembly is almost the same, now in LED.
Also as a novelty, the model received full LED lighting (headlamps, lanterns and flashers), new rear suspension, assist/slipper clutch and new exhaust with double output (dual-exit muffler). The instrument panel is also new, fully digital in LCD and features a gear indicator.
In terms of the engine, the new CBR500R has been adjusted to deliver more power and torque between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm.
The new 2019 CBR500R arrives in European stores later this year as a 2019 model.
